Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Welcome to YabuMenu.ph, an independent guide to Yabu menus, indicative prices, dish details and branch information in the Philippines. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you browse the Website or contact us.

References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of YabuMenu.ph, not Yabu: House of Katsu or its restaurant operator. For privacy enquiries, email [email protected].

Scope of This Policy

This policy covers information handled in connection with YabuMenu.ph, including website visits and emails sent to our contact address. It does not cover a restaurant’s booking, ordering or payment systems, or the independent practices of external websites you visit.

Information You Provide

When you email us, we receive your email address, any sender name shown by your email service, your message and any attachments you send. You may also choose to provide page links, menu corrections or other details relevant to your enquiry.

Our email-draft form asks for your name, email address, topic and message. It prepares a draft in your email app; pressing “Open email draft” does not itself send the message to us. We receive it when you send it through your email service. Your email provider may process or save the draft under its own policies.

Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, identification documents or sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

Technical Information and Server Logs

When your browser requests a page, image or other website resource, the server receives connection information. Hosting and security systems may record your IP address, browser or device details, request time, requested address, referring page and error information, depending on their configuration.

These records may be used to deliver pages, diagnose technical problems and investigate abuse. IP addresses and similar identifiers may constitute personal information; they should not automatically be treated as anonymous data.

How Information Is Used

  • To receive, review and respond to your enquiries.
  • To investigate reported menu errors or website problems.
  • To maintain the Website and protect it against spam or misuse.
  • To keep necessary correspondence and resolve disputes.
  • To meet applicable legal obligations.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to promotional emails. Any separate marketing use requiring consent should be explained and offered separately.

Legal Basis and Consent

Where the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) applies, processing must have a lawful basis. Depending on the purpose, this may include consent, a legal obligation or a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and securing the Website, subject to your rights.

Simply visiting this Website is not blanket consent to every form of processing. Where consent is required, it must be obtained separately and may be withdrawn, subject to applicable law.

Cookies and Browser Controls

Cookies are small files that websites can store on your Device. Cookies or similar technologies may be used by website software or service providers, depending on the features enabled.

You can review, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work as expected if necessary cookies are blocked. A cookie setting does not stop all server logs or requests for external resources.

Any optional analytics or advertising service requires disclosures that match the provider and technology actually used. Where consent is legally required for such processing, the relevant choice must be provided before it begins.

Fonts, Images and Email Providers

Pages using externally hosted Google Fonts request font files from Google. Images may also load from a separate hosting address. Those providers receive connection information, such as your IP address, when your browser requests their resources.

Our contact inbox uses Gmail. Messages you send to [email protected] are handled through Google’s email service. Your own email provider may also process the message.

You can read Google’s Privacy Policy for information about its services.

Sharing and International Processing

Information may be handled by providers supporting website hosting, resource delivery, security and email. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with a lawful request or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Providers may process information outside the Philippines. Where Philippine privacy law applies, the operator remains responsible for the safeguards required when information is transferred or processed by others.

Data Retention and Security

Correspondence and technical records should be kept only as long as needed for their stated purposes, legal obligations or legitimate claims. Retention can differ by record type and provider. Contact us to ask about records relating to you or to request deletion where applicable.

Appropriate organisational and technical safeguards are required for personal information. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure; this does not remove any security obligation imposed by applicable law.

Your Rights in the Philippines

Where applicable, and subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may:

  • Be informed about the processing of your personal information.
  • Request access to information held about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent where relevant.
  • Request erasure or blocking when the legal grounds are met.
  • Request data portability where applicable.
  • Seek remedies for a violation of your privacy rights.

Send requests to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You may also raise a concern with the National Privacy Commission ; contacting us first is not a condition for exercising that right.

Children’s Privacy

Our Terms set an eligibility age of 18. The Website is not intended to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our contact address, please notify us so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

External Websites

Links may take you to restaurant pages or other independently operated websites. Review their privacy notices before sharing information. Their policies govern their own services; this does not remove our responsibility for processing carried out by us.

Updates to This Policy

Changes will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. A policy update or continued browsing does not replace fresh consent where it is required for a new purpose.
